District Shift Leader – General Manager Development We are looking for our next General Manager! If you are ready to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career, then becoming a District Shift Leader is for you. District Shift Leaders participate in a targeted General Manager development plan to learn how to be a bagel boss. Once the development plan is complete, you will be next in line to take ownership of a bakery as a General Manager when a position is available. Responsibilities Perform management duties at a home location and support other bakeries in the market as needed. Travel throughout the market to gain additional independence and learn from other leaders. Lead by example, serve as a brand ambassador, and provide ongoing coaching and training for the teams. Ensure high‑quality food and beverages for guests while maintaining a safe, clean store environment. Manage inventory tracking, vendor orders, and cash management. Analyze P&L, achieve food‑cost and labor targets, schedule staff, and recruit quality team members. Shifts begin as early as 3:00 a.m. for first‑bake and store opening duties. Qualifications At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred. Ability to work varied hours and days, including early mornings and weekends (starting as early as 3 a.m.). Pass a background check and possess a current, valid driver’s license. Complete the Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan, unless already certified. Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market. Expected to accept a permanent General Manager promotion within the market when available, location not guaranteed.
