ROLE PURPOSE

Lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) for Savills North America as its product owner and solution lead. You will own the design, configuration, and roadmap of our finance technology landscape, and set the standard for how the platform is implemented and run. This is a technology-first role. We are looking for a genuine D365 F&O specialist who also speaks the language of finance, fluent enough in accounting standards and close processes to facilitate, challenge, and guide the conversation between business and technology. You will translate finance requirements into well-architected solutions, champion implementation best practice within the platform, and make sure every enhancement lands with control, quality, and adoption built in. In short: the person in the room who can say not just what finance needs, but how D365 F&O should deliver it.

OUR CORE TECHNOLOGY STACK

ERP & finance: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) at the center alongside SAP Concur (expenses), CaptivateIQ (commissions), Clockify (time). Data & platform: Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Lake and Power BI for reporting and analytics; Power Platform and Dataverse for extension and automation. CRM & integration: Salesforce and adjacent systems, integrated via Azure and approved ISVs.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as product owner for D365 F&O: own and prioritize the Microsoft DevOps backlog, support in roadmap development and prioritization, and make the design calls on configuration versus customization and standard versus ISV. Translate finance and business requirements into well-architected, scalable solutions within the global template, captured as clear user stories with acceptance criteria. Set and uphold implementation best practice across the platform: solution design, data model, integration patterns, and a disciplined extension strategy. Own the finance systems roadmap, standardizing processes and data models, retiring legacy tooling, and driving close and FP&A automation. Configure and steward the core D365 F&O finance modules: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Tax, and project / instruction accounting. Lead solution delivery end to end (design, configuration, SIT/UAT, cutover, hypercare) with global Business Systems, implementation partners, and vendors. Own integration design and monitoring across the finance estate (Salesforce to D365, Concur to GL, CaptivateIQ to commission/payroll, Clockify to time/charge). Work within ALM / DevOps discipline: environment strategy, release calendar, and formal change control. Finance fluency & business partnering Bring enough accounting depth (US GAAP, month and quarter-end close, reconciliations, audit support) to facilitate finance discussions with real credibility. Act as the trusted translator between Finance leadership and Technology: capture the need, challenge constructively, and steer decisions toward platform best practice. Partner with controllers, FP&A, and operations to turn finance data into trusted insight on cost, margin, and utilization. Controls, compliance & governance Design and maintain application-level controls, role-based security, and segregation of duties (SoD). Keep the platform audit-ready (US GAAP, SOX-style controls where applicable, GDPR / CCPA awareness) and assist with maintenance of the finance systems risk register. Uphold change-control discipline, backup / disaster-recovery posture, and a clean non-prod / prod environment lifecycle. Govern trusted datasets and Power BI dashboards for finance leadership, with documented lineage, reliable refresh, and alignment to Group standards. Safeguard master and transactional data integrity across the estate; lead reconciliations to minimize system-to-system discrepancies. Lead training, communications, and adoption campaigns so releases and policy changes land cleanly across Finance, Operations, and Technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

Deep, hands-on D365 F&O expertise (6+ years), ideally as a product owner, solution architect, functional lead, or senior consultant, covering the core finance modules and ideally project / instruction accounting. Proven solution-design judgement: configuration versus customization, global template rollout, ISV evaluation, and integration architecture. Working accounting knowledge: a solid grasp of US GAAP, close cycles, reconciliations, and audit, enough to facilitate and guide finance with credibility. A formal accounting background is a plus, not a prerequisite, where the platform depth and finance fluency are clearly there. Platform and data skills: Power Platform, Dataverse / SQL, Azure integration, Power BI and Power Query; familiarity with Azure Data Lake / Fabric preferred. Controls and governance fluency: role-based security, workflow / approval frameworks, change control, and DevOps. A real delivery track record: UAT and release management, cutover, hypercare, vendor engagement, and strong SOP / knowledge-base habits. Outstanding stakeholder management and communication: someone who can sit between finance and technology, hold their own in both rooms, and bring new and existing users along the journey.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS

Microsoft certifications in D365 Finance and Operations and / or the F&O Solution Architect path. An accounting qualification (CPA / ACA) or equivalent finance grounding. Desirable, not essential. Experience in commercial real estate, professional services, or other project-based accounting environments. Salesforce integration, enterprise EPM (Oracle Hyperion), or FP&A automation exposure.
