Responsibilities Under close supervision from the department supervisors or lead persons, provide daily cleaning of assigned work areas as defined by a work schedule. Handle emergency cleaning requests (e.g., spills) and replenish paper or chemical supplies as needed. Perform cleaning tasks using the 7-step cleaning procedure: high dusting; dry mop floors; damp wipe horizontal surfaces and spot clean walls; clean bathrooms; empty trash and replace with a clean liner; wet mop floors; self-inspect work to ensure a clean environment for patients and staff. Use proper cleaning chemicals for each task and never mix chemicals or place them in improperly labeled bottles. Respond to emergency cleaning requests within five minutes of instruction. Move furniture, relocate beds, and stock supplies as requested by a supervisor. Be aware of Right to Know information and proper fire safety response. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor in a timely manner with a positive attitude. Minimum Qualifications Education: No minimum education required. Licensure, Certification, Registration: NA Skills & Knowledge: This is an entry level position; skills may be learned on the job. English communication skills are required.
