PROPÓSITO GENERAL:

Este puesto proporciona una presencia visible en las entradas/salidas de la Tienda, al mitigar el robo y el fraude, y mantener un entorno seguro para los Asociados y Clientes. El Especialista hace contacto visual, sonríe y saluda a todos los Clientes de manera prominente, cortés y amistosa, y disuade la oportunidad de robo al demostrar la presencia de "comando" en un chaleco/atuendo negro requerido por la Compañía, y monitorea la política de Inspección de paquetes de los asociados (Código 50). Camina por el piso de ventas para identificar y abordar posibles indicadores de robo, según lo indique el liderazgo de la Tienda. Se asocia con el liderazgo de la Tienda para garantizar el cumplimiento de las directivas de prevención de pérdidas y la minimización de los faltantes operativos. Debe adoptar los valores de la Compañía y tener una mentalidad para proteger el tesoro Ross.

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES:

Entornos seguros y protegidos:

  • Comprende que la seguridad es la prioridad número uno y practica comportamientos seguros en todo lo que hace y ayuda al liderazgo de la Tienda a mantener un entorno seguro tanto para los Asociados como para los Clientes.
  • Proporciona presencia visible de "comando", incluidos saludos prominentes con contacto visual, en las entradas/salidas de la Tienda y en el piso de ventas con un chaleco/atuendo negro requerido por la Compañía, monitoreando posibles problemas de seguridad.
  • Elimina el desorden y garantiza una salida segura y despejada a las salidas de emergencia.

Desarrollo de excelentes equipos y asociaciones:

  • Brinda un excelente servicio de atención al cliente al saludar de manera prominente a los Clientes, hacer contacto visual, sonreír y responder preguntas de manera amable y cortés.
  • Trata a todos los Clientes y Asociados con respeto.
  • Demuestra cortesía, amabilidad y profesionalismo en todo momento. Reconoce a los Asociados mediante el uso de programas de reconocimiento de la Compañía.
  • Participa regularmente con socios internos y externos. Aquí se pueden incluir conferencias telefónicas, reuniones de distrito programadas, educación de los Asociados, reconocimiento, etc.
  • Otras tareas asignadas para apoyar las iniciativas de prevención de pérdidas.

Marca personal y de la tienda

  • Representa y apoya la marca de la Compañía en todo momento.
  • Mantiene una apariencia profesional, de acuerdo con el código de vestimenta de la Compañía.

Mitigación del robo y el fraude:

  • Monitorea las entradas/salidas, así como el piso de ventas para detectar posibles robos al identificar comportamientos sospechosos.
  • Recopila indicadores de robo y utiliza inteligencia interna o externa para impactar en las tendencias de faltantes. Se comunica eficazmente con el liderazgo de la Tienda y el liderazgo de prevención de pérdidas.
  • Cumple con la política de la Compañía para la respuesta ante robos externos.
  • Ejecuta todas las mejores prácticas de la Compañía y maximiza la productividad al minimizar los pasos y toques mientras trabaja.

Reducción al mínimo de los faltantes operativos:

  • Aumenta la concientización de la Tienda sobre los procesos efectivos para minimizar los faltantes operativos. Capacita y educa a los Asociados sobre las iniciativas de reducción de faltantes.
  • Observa y valida los procedimientos de pago adecuados para Clientes y Asociados.

CALIFICACIONES Y HABILIDADES ESPECIALES REQUERIDAS:

  • Se requiere educación secundaria o equivalente, preferentemente título AA.
  • Se prefiere un año de experiencia como supervisor minorista o capacitación similar.
  • Se prefiere un año de capacitación en prevención de pérdidas/seguridad.
  • Se valorará el dominio del español e inglés, aunque no es un requisito indispensable.
  • Se prefiere la licencia de guardia de seguridad activa.
  • Capacidad para trabajar de manera efectiva en un entorno acelerado.
  • Sólidas habilidades de comunicación.
  • Capacidad comprobada para construir y mantener relaciones con el equipo de la Tienda.
  • Excelentes habilidades de servicio de atención al cliente.
  • Capacidad comprobada para resolver conflictos de manera efectiva.
  • Capacidad para cumplir con todas las leyes y reglamentaciones federales y estatales aplicables para puestos de seguridad, incluidas, entre otras, la evaluación de antecedentes adicional, el examen físico, las huellas dactilares o las pruebas de detección de drogas y alcohol.

REQUISITOS FÍSICOS/Ley para Estadounidenses con Discapacidades:

  • Debe tener una puntualidad constante y asistencia regular.
  • Debe poder pasar hasta el 100 % del tiempo de trabajo de pie, caminando y moviéndose por la Tienda.
  • Debe poder subir o bajar objetos de más de 25 libras, de un nivel a otro (incluye tirar hacia arriba).
  • Debe poder inclinarse o agacharse regularmente (la frecuencia y la duración variarán según las necesidades comerciales diarias).

GENERAL PURPOSE:

This position provides a visible presence at the Store entrances/exits, mitigating theft and fraud and maintaining a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers. The Specialist makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a prominent, courteous and friendly manner deterring opportunity for theft by demonstrating "command" presence in a Company issued vest/required black attire, and monitoring the Code 50 package inspection policy. Walks sales floor to identify and address potential theft indicators, as directed by Store Leadership. Partners with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives and minimization of operational shortage. Must embrace Company values and have a mentality to protect the Ross treasure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environment:

  • Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do and assists Store Leadership in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both Associates and Customers.
  • Provides visible "command" presence, including prominent greetings with eye contact, at Store entrances/exits and on sales floor in a Company issued vest/required black attire, monitoring for potential safety issues.
  • Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits.

Developing Great Teams & Partnerships:

  • Provides great Customer service by prominently greeting Customers, making eye contact, smiling and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Treats all Customers and Associates with respect.
  • Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times. Recognizes Associates using Company recognition programs.
  • Regular involvement with internal and external partners. May include conference calls, scheduled district meetings, educating Associates, providing recognition, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.

Personal and Store Brand

  • Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
  • Maintains a professional appearance, in accordance with Company dress code.

Mitigating Theft & Fraud:

  • Monitors entrances/exits as well as sales floor for potential theft by identifying suspicious behavior.
  • Gathers theft indicators and uses internal or external intelligence to impact shortage trends. Effectively communicates to Store Leadership and Loss Prevention Leadership.
  • Adheres to Company policy for external theft response.
  • Executes all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.

Minimizing Operational Shortage:

  • Increases Store awareness on effective processes to minimize operational shortage. Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
  • Observes and validates proper checkout procedures for Customers and Associates.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
  • One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
  • One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
  • Active Security Guard License preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
  • Excellent Customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
  • Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
  • Must be able to raise or lower objects more than 25 lbs., from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
  • Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, or crouch (frequency and duration will vary per daily business need).
  • Certain assignments may require other qualifications and skills.
