Work location is in Merrifield, VA.Essential Functions:Interpret and understand the changes from a redlined From-To drawing mark-upDevelop solutions to issues such as end of life parts, enhancement of equipment and the analysis of production equipmentDesign, develop, and test aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machineryApply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etcMay be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical productsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobWorks under immediate supervisionReports to a supervisor or managerEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in area of specialtyExperience in independently completing design; including 3D modeling, 2D drawing, detailing and Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingExperience with using solid modeling software in 3D modeling and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assembliesExperience using MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Minimal experience per position level shown in table below:Mechanical Engineer III – A minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area required.Additional Requirements:Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periodsStrong mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to travel as needed (less than 10%) and work mostly Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm on occasion weekend hours may be requiredMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test"MBA CSi is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer.
