Area Sales Manager

Job Summary The Area Manager is responsible for selling new business, increasing penetration of the existing customer base, maintaining high quality customer satisfaction (24/7 availability) and retention, and increasing market share within assigned territories. Responsibilities An average of 5‑10 dealership visits focused on signing new dealerships, growing the application count with existing dealerships and capturing approved contracts. Review deals with dealer partners and help them structure or restructure as needed to fit the program. Act as a consultant/partner to F&I Managers to ensure maximum profitability for the dealership through the sale of UAC products. Work closely with your assigned Credit Analyst and Funder to ensure loan approvals and fast funding. Work with the Dealer Compliance team to resolve market issues. Build and maintain dealer relationships and follow up on approved loan applications. Provide best‑in‑class customer service to dealer customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and participates in meetings. Persuasiveness: Presents an idea or plan in a way that persuades others to adopt a certain stance. Professionalism: Treats others with respect, remains tactful, responds well under pressure and follows through on commitments. Written Communication: Writes clearly, edits for spelling and grammar, varies style as needed and presents numerical data effectively. Qualifications Ability to work from home and travel daily (within a 60‑mile radius) to call on dealers. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance required. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to work Saturdays as needed, out in the field. 2‑5 years of experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success. Previous experience in Auto Finance sales, underwriting or dealership experience. Sub‑prime auto finance experience highly preferred. No supervisory responsibility. Language Ability: Communicate clearly in person, in writing and by telephone. Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access, SharePoint).
