Maintenance Technician

Job Details: Job Location: CINCINNATI, OH 45229, Position Type: Part Time, Maintenance Technician Part-time or Full-time position Location: 3458 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229 Reports to: This role reports to the Facilities Director Manages: N/A Department: People & Facilities Position Overview As the maintenance technician, you are responsible for ensuring all office locations are maintained in excellent condition. This includes general upkeep, cleaning, landscaping, addressing maintenance issues promptly, and performing any preventative maintenance tasks to avoid disruption. This role requires an individual who has a hands‑on approach, the ability to work independently, proactive problem‑solving skills, and extensive maintenance skills. What you’ll do Responsible for handling regular building repairs and maintenance jobs, including basic plumbing, electrical repair/replacement, floor repair, painting, and installation/moving of office furniture and equipment. Assist with scheduling and managing external contractors for professional repair projects Review, process, and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner. Regularly inspect and maintain onsite vehicles for safety and performance. Monitory inventory for maintenance supplies. Advise Facilities Director and other senior staff on needs for maintenance and other building services. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate meetings and special events as needed. Clean restrooms, offices, floors, and trash removal as needed. Snow removal and grass cutting/landscaping as needed. Attend to building maintenance before and after special events. Unlock and secure building as needed. General gardening and weeding of grounds. Check meeting rooms daily and configure as necessary for meetings. Working with the Facilities Director, conduct regular facility and safety inspections. Identify ways to improve routine processes for efficiency, safety, and cost . Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and organizational policies. Conduct regular safety inspections. Be available to respond to emergency maintenance requests. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on maintenance experience. What you’ll need Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry. Proficiency with hand and electric tools. Knowledge of working with blueprints and drawings. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for maintenance, including safety regulations, troubleshooting techniques, and preventative maintenance. Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Attention to detail & professionalism. Proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to stand, climb, reach, push/pull, and lift at least 50lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and use hand and power tools. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations. Valid Driver’s License. Working environment This full-time, in-person position is based at 3458 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. The role requires a blend of office-based work and community engagement, including regular travel between office locations. Evening and weekend work may be required.
