Quality inspector

Our client, an aerospace and defense manufacturer in Sterling Heights, is seeking a floor inspector for a fast-paced Prototype Body in White environment. As a floor inspector, you will inspect production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and perform leak testing. **Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan** **Pay Range: $18/hr-$24/hr** **Shift: 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts** **2nd shift: 2pm-12:30am Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts** **What's the Job?** + Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials + Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work + Using gauge tools such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.. + Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database **What's Needed?** + Ability to navigate cad models + Skills to calibrate and measure specifications, understanding of metrology joining features. + Ability to do leak testing + Minimum of 2 years of quality experience + ability to read blueprints + capability of lifting 50 lbs unassisted **What's in it for me?** + placement in a growing field of defense and aerospace + ability to start quickly with a clear background check and drug screen + potential direct hire or temp to hire permanent placement If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
