Ultrasonic Weld Inspector

Ultrasonic Weld Inspector Salary: $30 - $40 per hour. Key Responsibilities Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on automotive weldments using ultrasonic testing (UT) equipment. Analyze weld penetration, fusion, and integrity of ultrasonic signals to identify internal flaws without damaging the parts. Interpret weld symbols and engineering blueprints to ensure all critical joints meet design specifications. Calibrate and maintain ultrasonic probes, transducers, and testing machinery. Generate detailed quality reports and collaborate with the Weld Supervisor to optimize weld parameters based on findings. Qualifications Must Haves Technical background in quality inspection and welding. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data/waveforms. High degree of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping. Ability to work within a moderate to loud manufacturing environment. Nice to Haves Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (NDT Level I or II). Experience with MIG/TIG welding processes or weld metallurgy. Experience in a Tier 1 automotive prototype or production environment.
