Title: Controller

Location: Providence, RI (3 days in office)
Salary: $110,000-$150,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Controller:
• Fully own the monthly and year end close process, ensuring accuracy, structure, and timeliness
• Support audits and Form 990 preparation in partnership with the CFO
• Lead, mentor, and organize a finance team of approximately 11, including managers and senior staff
• Oversee accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, and financial reporting

Qualifications for the Controller:
• Strong nonprofit accounting experience is required
• Hands on experience supporting audits and 990 filings
• Proven management experience leading multi layer accounting teams
• Demonstrated ownership of the full month end close process

Nice to Have Experience:
• Medical or behavioral health billing exposure
• Payroll experience, including multi state environments
• Experience managing multiple funding and revenue streams
• AP modernization, process improvement, or ERP implementation experience
