Accounting Assistant (AP/AR)

Job Description

We're seeking an Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team through invoice processing, reconciliations, reporting, and financial data management. This is a great opportunity to gain broad exposure to accounting operations while working with a collaborative team that values accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Enter invoices, billing, payment, and reconciliation data into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy.
• Review reports, spreadsheets, and financial documents to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Identify discrepancies, duplicate records, and missing information in accounting data and document follow-up actions.
• Recognize trends and issues in financial data that require further investigation or escalation.
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets to support accounts payable and general accounting activities.
• Assist with basic reporting and trend analysis to support the accounting and finance team.

Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Interest in supporting work that directly impacts patient and member outcomes.
• Ability to review reports and spreadsheets and accurately identify discrepancies and data issues.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
