Financial Planning and Analysis AnalystAt Regions, the Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is responsible for all areas of financial and management reporting, planning and analysis.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelops, updates, and maintains models to budget, forecast, analyze, and report financial dataDevelops and performs monthly detailed financial analysis including financial modeling and monitoring business results and impact to bottom lineDefines drivers of budget variances and ensures understanding of key drivers with responsible partiesConsolidates and reports monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic plans, including related summary commentary and analysisAssists with the provision of timely, accurate, and reliable financial management information and the running and enhancement of reporting systems which facilitate the production of this management informationCompletes regular and ad-hoc reporting and business reviews as well as the preparation of key presentations and special projects as requiredPresents financial analysis to influence management decisionsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related fieldThree (3) years of experience with management reporting or financial analysisPreferencesExperience with Essbase Financial Reporting tool or similarSkills and CompetenciesFinancial analysis and researchProficient in Microsoft Office Products Suite, particularly ExcelReport developmentAdditional Responsibilities:Support accurate and timely administration of incentive compensation plans for financial advisors, licensed branch associates, and sales managersResearch and resolve incentive issues and communicate with associates and managers as necessaryAct as communication liaison between sales force, firm management and various departments within organizationAnalyze monthly performance of sales associates and report to appropriate sales managementOther support tasks for Investment Services Finance teamThis position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time.
