Construction Mechanics Inc. is hiring dependable Construction Helpers and Laborer for active commercial projects in the Palm Beach Gardens, FL area. This is not an entry-level position —candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of experience working on commercial construction sites.
We’re looking for hardworking individuals who are safety-focused, reliable, and ready to support skilled trades on fast-paced job sites. This is a great opportunity to stay working consistently and gain experience across a variety of project types.
Pay Range: $16–$17/hr DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled trades including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment
- Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas
- Perform demolition, site prep, digging, or basic installations as directed
- Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Set up temporary job site structures such as barricades or scaffolding
- Take direction from site supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Follow all job site safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at all times
- Potential operation of forklifts or small equipment (if certified)
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of commercial construction experience required
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing manual labor for extended periods
- Familiar with basic hand and power tools used in construction
- Must have own PPE: hard hat, safety vest, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to take direction and support trades as needed
- Need to have PPE
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly pay: $18–$20/hr DOE
- Weekly pay through Construction Mechanics Inc.
