Camel K Developer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Camel K Developer in Saint Louis, MO. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and migrate existing ETL workflows and transformations from MuleSoft to Apache Camel K
- Develop and maintain integration routes using Camel K on Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Refactor and optimize legacy Java codebases for performance and maintainability
- Collaborate with QA and business teams to define requirements, build test cases, and ensure UAT sign-off
- Document integration solutions and maintain technical artifacts for ongoing support
- Track defects, manage backlog items, and escalate roadblocks as needed
- 1-3+ years of Java development experience, with strong proficiency in integration solutions
- 1-3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Camel or Camel K
- Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
- Familiarity with transactional (e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and warehouse databases (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and ADO for documentation and CI/CD
- Experience with SAP, EDI, APIM, ASB, and MQ
- Strong communication skills to interface technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Agile/Scrum team experience
