Systems Field Service Representative - Power Distribution/Electrical

Job Overview Position: Systems Field Service Representative (Power Services) – Full‑time, U.S. based. Expected compensation $101,600–$151,400 per year. Candidates located within the United States. Base pay is determined by performance, skills, experience, and education. The role includes a home‑based flexible work schedule with a guaranteed 40‑hour week (+ overtime). Responsibilities Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment. Perform warranty work and start‑up service. Commissioning equipment across the Schneider Electric product portfolio. Testing, calibration, checking, correcting, and replacing parts on customer products. Construction and testing of circuits and equipment using tools, computers, workstations, and test instruments. Provide technical support in product service, training, and applications, including on‑site audits. Support serviceable Schneider equipment such as electrical switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, power monitoring equipment, and protective relays. Document required information for each site (technical report). Analyze complex equipment problems and interpret maintenance manuals to isolate and correct faults. Assist in developing design modifications and provide installation support for them. Develop and implement training courseware and train customers and service representatives. Travel for training and to support job sites in other areas. Qualifications Vocational education, military training, or transferable experience in electronics, electrical theory, or a similar discipline. NETA/NICET testing certifications. 5–7+ years of relevant mechanical, electrical, and/or power distribution service experience; technical proficiency in electronic/electrical component theory. Experience writing reports and presenting information to managers, clients, and customers. Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Experience in testing, maintenance, or upgrades in low or medium voltage switchgear, transformers, relay protection systems, or control systems. Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and other service documents. Capacity to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
