Youth Development SpecialistThe Youth Development Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating and supervising programs and activities for youth and/or teens.Facilitates programming in various areas of the Club (arts, gym, etc)Manages administrative duties to include: calendars, lesson plans, pre/post testing, roster keeping and participation trackingTransports youth and/or teens to various club locations via BGCMP vehiclesEnsures the safety of all members and ensures proper documentation is completedAssists with Federal Food program as directedMust possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificateMust obtain/maintain a current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's Certification (within first 90 days of employment)Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's licenseWorking knowledge of federal and state laws and company policies and proceduresAbility to participate in investigationsAbility to support the physical property and assets of the ClubAbility to manage small and large groups of youth in various settingsAbility to implement effective individual behavior managementAbility to maintain and cultivate excellent member/family and community relationships and possess excellent customer service skillsAbility to interact effectively and communicate (in writing and orally) with a variety of youth, staff, volunteers, families, and community membersAbility to establish learning objectives for program and activitiesKnowledge of Youth Development service deliveryAbility to articulate for giving, serve as an ambassador, engage in relationship building and promote philanthropyAbility to support the efficiency of volunteers and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operations
