Spring 2027 Co-op, SOX PMO
$20 - $35 per hourVertex Pharmaceuticals
Vertex is recruiting for a 6-month SOX PMO co-op position in Boston, MA, spring 2027. The role supports Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and financial reporting processes while working with cross-functional teams across accounting, finance, and HR.
Responsibilities
- Support process walkthroughs in revenue, inventory, treasury, GL accounting, and IT processes
- Monitor SOX reporting tool status and deliverables to internal and external auditors
- Document key control changes and prepare materials for senior management presentations
- Facilitate quarterly control certifications collection and review
- Collaborate with accounting, audit, finance, and HR teams on cross-functional projects
Requirements
- Pursuing bachelor's or graduate degree in accounting or business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment and prioritize
- Work independently and collaboratively in team settings
- Legal authorization to work in United States; no sponsorship available
- Full-time availability 40 hours/week January–June 2027
Compensation: $20.00–$35.00 USD/hour
