Associate Director, Manufacturing Systems Integration

Associate Director role leading manufacturing systems integration across global sites, responsible for building and sustaining connections between shop floor systems (MES, data historians, process control) and downstream operational platforms. Reports to Operations Orchestration Product Manager and serves as technical authority for integration delivery and infrastructure reliability.
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and sustain system integrations connecting operational and digital shop floor systems
- Partner with site operations to define data mapping translating shop floor data for scheduling and reporting use cases
- Establish integration standards, templates, and reusable patterns for consistent site onboarding
- Oversee execution and scale-up of integration solutions across global sites with minimal operational disruption
- Provide senior-level troubleshooting and incident leadership for integration-related issues across manufacturing and IT teams
Requirements
- 12+ years manufacturing technology or industrial systems experience; pharmaceutical preferred
- 5+ years system integration, automation, or manufacturing IT/OT roles
- Strong experience integrating MES, PI, DeltaV with downstream scheduling and reporting platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts for data transformation
- Solid understanding of manufacturing execution processes and shop floor data generation
- Experience with modern integration technologies including APIs, OPC UA, and edge-to-cloud data flows
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
