Job Title: Member Service Representative (MSR)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:30 PM; 40 hours per week

Job Description:

The Member Service Representative will provide day-to-day support to members by handling account needs, processing transactions, assisting with new accounts and loan requests, and recommending appropriate financial products and services. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with customers in a branch environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist members with account questions, service requests, and routine financial transactions.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and other account-related activities with accuracy.
• Set up new member accounts and assist with account updates and maintenance.
• Support members through the loan application process by collecting information and documentation.
• Address customer concerns and identify appropriate solutions in a timely and professional manner.
• Explain financial products and services and identify opportunities that may benefit members.
• Maintain compliance with internal procedures, regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
• Deliver a welcoming and professional experience through in-person and other communication channels.

Qualifications:

• 6–12 months of experience in customer service, banking, financial services, retail, or a related environment.
• Teller, cash-handling, or transaction-processing experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet-based systems.
• Comfortable navigating mobile applications, online banking tools, and digital platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.

Additional Details:

• Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, DC.
• Occasional coverage at another area branch in Reston, VA may be requested.
