Job Purpose:

• The Process at Lotus Bakeries is responsible for preparing high-quality product in accordance with Lotus Bakeries' standards. 
• Operate and monitor rotary moulder settings to ensure all product meets required specification. 
• Supervise the  settings in order to according to meet the desired quality parameters and output. 
• Coordinate with packaging: start/stop, change over, etc. 
• Pro-active attitude towards continuous improvement regarding safety, quality and efficiency  

Key Result Areas:

• Raw materials reception (bulk and goods delivered on pallets) 
• Perform change overs.  
• Supervision and registration of the settings of rotary moulder and oven 
• Frequently empty the bins under the conveyer web 
• Checking and registration of the spread parameters (shape, colour & dimensions) to ensure quality output 
• Supply the emptied spread containers to the washing machine area 
• Clean the installation after production  
• Thoroughly clean the spread area on a regular basis according to cleaning plan 
• Visual inspection of the spread before pouring and during processing 
• Check and register the weight of the spread 
• Check whether the spread has the correct dimensions  
• Check the spread temperature 
• Sampling of spread according to sampling plan 
• Assist in the periodic maintenance of the installations 
• Check operation of the metal detector 
• Supervision of the overall tidiness and cleanliness of the spread area & take necessary actions 
• Knowledge and application of necessary GMP & safety rules and standards 
• Ensure that all checklists and forms are correctly filled out  
• Make proposals towards quality, safety and efficiency improvements and take necessary action

• Participate in toolbox meetings 

Education (degree):  

• High School diploma or equivalent  

Competence Profile:  

Work organized and systematic, be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.  

Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations. Must possess Lotus Values (Team Spirit, Open Dialogue, Passion) and Lotus leadership skills. 

Specific knowledge:  

• Understand basic technical and electrical terms 
• Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices. 
• Basic computer and math skills 

Experience:  

• Prior Experience in a production setting , ideally in an FDA regulated environment 
• Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment is preferred 
• Good communication skills, both written and oral; ability to read and write effectively 
• Ability to multi-task and approach tasks with detail-oriented manner 
• Aptitude for handling repetitive tasks 

Language:  

• English; verbally & written 
• Spanish a plus but not required
