Senior Cost Control Specialist/Cost Manager

Job Description Overview We are seeking a Senior Cost Controls Specialist/Cost Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA . Your role
- Track and analyze project costs, including approved budgets, commitments, actual expenditures, accruals, and forecasts.
- Prepare and manage monthly accruals, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and forecasted in coordination with project teams and vendors.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and variance explanations, highlighting key cost drivers, trends, risks, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate monthly forecasting reviews with project managers and discipline leads to validate remaining work, commitments, and forecast assumptions.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders; monitor commitments and validate contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.
- Facilitate the evaluation and processing of change orders and funding requests.
- Support capital project closeout activities, including final cost reporting, reconciliation of commitments, and placement of assets into service.
- Assist with the annual capital budgeting process.
- Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of experience project controls/cost management.
- Experience in Energy sector projects preferred.
- Intermediate - advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
