Senior Cost Controls Specialist/Cost Manager

We are seeking a Senior Cost Controls Specialist/Cost Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

Your Role

Track and analyze project costs, including approved budgets, commitments, actual expenditures, accruals, and forecasts.

Prepare and manage monthly accruals, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and forecasted in coordination with project teams and vendors.

Prepare monthly forecasts and variance explanations, highlighting key cost drivers, trends, risks, and corrective actions.

Coordinate monthly forecasting reviews with project managers and discipline leads to validate remaining work, commitments, and forecast assumptions.

Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders; monitor commitments and validate contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.

Facilitate the evaluation and processing of change orders and funding requests.

Support capital project closeout activities, including final cost reporting, reconciliation of commitments, and placement of assets into service.

Assist with the annual capital budgeting process.

About You

Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of experience project controls/cost management.

Experience in Energy sector projects preferred.

Intermediate advanced proficiency in Excel.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $120,000 - $140,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
