The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cost management efforts and mentor junior team members in a complex project environment.Job DescriptionCORERESPONSIBILITIESDevelop,manage,andmaintainprojectcostcontrolprocesses,procedures,andreportingtoolsforlarge-scalecapitalprojectsandprograms.Serveasatrustedadvisortoprojectstakeholdersbyprovidingcostmanagementexpertise,forecastinginsights,andrecommendationstosupportinformeddecision-making.Developandmaintainprojectbudgets,costplans,forecasts,andcashflowanalysesalignedwithprogramandprojectobjectives.Monitorprojectcostperformanceagainstapprovedbudgetsandidentifyvariances,trends,risks,andopportunities.Supportthedevelopmentandimplementationofprojectcontrolsstandards,methodologies,andbestpracticesrelatedtocostmanagement.Analyzeprojectexpenditures,commitments,accruals,andforecastedcoststoensureaccuratefinancialreporting.Collaboratewithprojectmanagers,estimators,schedulers,procurementteams,andconstructionteamstoensurealignmentbetweencost,schedule,andprojectperformance.Prepareanddeliverperiodiccostreports,budgetupdates,forecastinganalyses,dashboards,andexecutive-levelsummaries.Evaluatechangesinprojectscopeandassesspotentialcostimpactswhilemaintainingaccuraterecordsofbudgetmodificationsandapprovals.Supportprojectriskmanagementactivitiesbyidentifyingcost-relatedrisksanddevelopingmitigationstrategies.Reviewcontractorpaymentapplications,changeorders,andcostproposalsforaccuracyandalignmentwithprojectbudgets.Performcosttrendanalysisandproviderecommendationstoimproveprojectfinancialperformanceandcostpredictability.Ensuretheaccuracy,consistency,andcredibilityofprojectcostdataandreporting.Supportprojectgovernancereviewsbyprovidingfinancialperformanceinsightsandcostmanagementrecommendations.Mentorandprovideguidancetojuniorprojectcontrolsandcostmanagementprofessionals.Supportcontinuousimprovementinitiativesrelatedtoprojectcontrolssystems,reportingprocesses,dataanalytics,andcostmanagementbestpractices.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor'sdegreeinConstructionManagement,Engineering,Finance,QuantitySurveying,ProjectManagement,orarelatedfield.10+ yearsofprogressiveexperienceinprojectcontrols,costmanagement,costengineering,financialanalysis,orconstructionprojectmanagementsupportinglargecapitalprojects.Demonstratedexperiencedevelopingandmanagingprojectbudgets,forecasts,costreports,andfinancialperformancemetricsthroughouttheprojectlifecycle.Experienceworkingwithincomplex,cross-functional,matrixedprojectenvironments.Strongunderstandingofprojectcontrolsprinciples,includingbudgeting,forecasting,costtracking,changemanagement,andperformancereporting.AdvancedproficiencywithMicrosoftExcelandprojectcontrolsorcostmanagementsoftwareapplications.Constructionindustryexperiencerequired;lifesciences,advancedmanufacturing,healthcare,datacenter,pharmaceutical,orindustrialprojectexperiencestronglypreferred.Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskillswiththeabilitytoeffectivelycommunicatefinancialandcostperformanceinformationtoprojectteams,clients,andleadershipstakeholders.ProfessionalcertificationssuchasCCP(CertifiedCostProfessional),PMP,EVP,orrelatedcredentialsarepreferred.Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
