Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Tristar Division.

Additional Details:

Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility.

Unit Details: Unit staffing includes a secretary every day and PRN techs. Uses PD cyclers, Welch Allyn VS carts, Hoyer lift, Broda chairs, and Alaris IV pumps. Cares for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures. Patients may require dialysis or PCA pumps; only drip is Heparin. Post-op procedures on the unit include amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block.

Floating Requirements: Will float over core staff.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
