About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations, including total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB patients
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 while delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Utilize unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet, and Zoll defibrillators; document care using Medhost EHR
• Fulfill weekend shift expectations - 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Float to other units within the facility (IMC, ED) as operationally needed; on-call flex shifts may be assigned up to twice per contract

• Active RN license (ADN minimum education required)
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with recent acute care background
• Telemetry experience and ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

• Preceptor and/or charge nurse experience
• Experience with Medhost EHR
• Compassionate, positive, and adaptable personality with a can-do attitude

• Work at a Joint Commission Accredited, 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center featuring a Certified Chest Pain Center and Level 3 Trauma designation
• Enjoy outdoor recreation in a scenic desert lake setting, with convenient access to Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, and Southern California
