E-Commerce Warehouse Associate Location: The Huntington Store, Huntington Library, Art and Botanical Gardens Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 7:30am – 3:30pm (full-time, with overtime during peak seasons) About the Role The Huntington Store E-Commerce Warehouse Associate is an essential logistics team member tasked with picking, packing, and shipping online orders accurately and on time. The role also ensures inventory is received, recorded, and organized to support efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities Pick products for orders based on digital or printed pick lists and pack them securely for shipment. Weigh, label, and transport orders to the mailroom, ensuring timely delivery within 24‑48 hours. Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries about webstore and in‑store pickup orders via e‑mail or telephone. Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, report discrepancies or damages, and apply price/barcode labels to merchandise. Organize and “slot” new inventory into designated locations to streamline picking. Conduct quality control inspections during the picking process to maintain product standards. Maintain shipping supplies inventory and initiate supply requests as needed. Keep accurate record files on customer sales and collaborate with the Retail Business Development Manager to ensure e‑commerce data integrity. Notify the Retail Operations Manager when inventory counts are incorrect and update the Inventory Management System. Communicate with management when assistance is needed during high‑volume periods. Assist with moving products for special merchandising displays and store‑related events. Participate in annual store physical inventory counts. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, comply with safety regulations, and operate equipment such as dollies and pallet jacks. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical proficiency with Shopify and/or ShipStation software; basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and handheld scanners. Fast, accurate order picking and packing with strong attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer service and teamwork. Adaptability to maintain consistency under increased pace. Organizational skills for file and work area management. Excellent customer service attitude, handling heavy traffic with accuracy and courtesy. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lb. individually; heavier with assistance), operate hand trucks, books carts, and pallet jacks. Preferred: prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or e‑commerce fulfillment environment. Working Conditions Work is primarily within the Store warehouse, with occasional tasks at other campus sites. Employees use pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and carts, and may be authorized to use motorized vehicles. Shifts include overtime during peak seasons.
