Pay Rate: $55-$75/Hour + Overtime (1.5x Pay)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours/Week

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist / Project Scheduler to support a fast-paced manufacturing and product development environment . This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project , Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques, and manufacturing-based project controls best practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex manufacturing, engineering, operations, or product development programs and possess the ability to quickly establish actionable project schedules that drive execution, visibility, and on-time delivery.

This position requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, supply chain, procurement, production, and project leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Scheduling & Planning

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Build and manage CPM-based schedules , including dependencies, sequencing, and critical path analysis
• Translate manufacturing process flow (engineering ? procurement ? build ? test ? delivery) into executable schedules

Execution Tracking & Analysis

• Track daily progress vs. plan across key production milestones
• Identify schedule variances, delays, and critical path impacts
• Recommend recovery actions and schedule adjustments as needed

Reporting & Communication

• Provide daily and weekly schedule updates to project leadership
• Develop concise look-ahead reports, milestone tracking, and variance analysis
• Communicate schedule status, risks, and impacts clearly to stakeholders

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to validate schedule logic and assumptions
• Ensure alignment between material availability, labor, equipment, and production sequencing
• Serve as a central point for schedule communication across the project team

Risk & Change Management

• Identify schedule risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints
• Maintain schedule baseline and manage updates as scope and priorities evolve
• Support mitigation planning to maintain delivery commitments

Data Integrity & Tools

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date schedules and documentation
• Ensure consistency of schedule data across reporting and tracking systems
• Support integration with project reporting and tracking tools

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Controls Specialist or Project Scheduler
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project
• Solid experience with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production flow
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with Jira or similar tracking tools
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project environments
• Experience supporting product development or capital equipment manufacturing projects
• Exposure to cost tracking, forecasting, or integrated project controls
