Payroll Specialist

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking Payroll Specialist in Suffolk, VA. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Job Summary:

• Collects, verifies and reconciles timekeeping records
• Completes processing of information into the payroll/timekeeping software systems
• Assists with day-to-day payroll and record-keeping operations
• Organizes workload to comply with deadlines and priorities
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborates with other departments including Accounting and Human Resources

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years related payroll experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, review and written/verbal communication skills
• Proficient in organizational and time management skills
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to maintain required documentation for all responsibilities assigned
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles
