Gross Weekly Pay: $2,326

Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,080

Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,246 (for eligible travelers)

Travel RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care (IMC) | Nights | Rockford, IL | Up to $2,326/Week


We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care (IMC) Registered Nurse for a 9-week travel assignment at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. This is a great opportunity for nurses experienced in caring for high-acuity cardiac and medical patients in a fast-paced progressive care environment.

Schedule

• 9-Week Travel Assignment
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
• Every Third Weekend Required
• Rotating Holiday Schedule
• Travel Candidates Only
• Permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for Progressive Care and Intermediate Care patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, post-cardiac procedures, neurological disorders, respiratory illnesses, and other complex medical diagnoses.
• Care for patients requiring BiPAP, titratable drips, telemetry monitoring, and other advanced interventions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Float to other appropriate units as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience.
• Experience in a mid- to large-size acute care hospital preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification (RQI not accepted).
• Current AHA ACLS certification (RQI not accepted).
• Strong telemetry and cardiac care experience.
• Ability to commit to the full 9-week assignment.
