Available Shifts

1st Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM | $17.00/hour
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM | $18.00/hour

Job Overview

Our client is currently hiring multiple Warehouse Picker/Packers for a temporary warehouse project in Hicksville, NY. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in accurate order fulfillment.

As a Warehouse Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment while helping maintain an organized, safe, and productive warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems.
Verify product numbers, quantities, and quality before packing.
Pack merchandise securely to ensure safe delivery.
Label and prepare shipments according to carrier requirements.
Replenish stock in picking locations as needed.
Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory.
Perform quality control checks to maintain order accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
Safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (forklift experience is a plus).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Work Environment

Fast-paced warehouse and distribution setting.
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of products.
Extended periods of standing and walking.
