3rd Shift Process Technician – Injection Molding
Location: Arnold, MO
Shift: 3rd Shift | Sunday–Thursday Nights
Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Process Technician to support our plastic injection molding operations. This hands-on role is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding processes to ensure high-quality production, minimize scrap, and maximize machine efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up, and optimize injection molding machines for production.
• Troubleshoot molding process issues and make machine parameter adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Perform mold changes, process changes, and machine setups.
• Monitor cycle times, machine performance, and scrap rates to improve efficiency.
• Conduct process capability studies and document process improvements.
• Ensure machines are operating within established process parameters.
• Clean and prepare hoppers, grinders, dryers, and auxiliary equipment for upcoming production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Work closely with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Support production operators with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Complete production reports, downtime logs, and shift documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Process Technician, Mold Technician, or Injection Molding Technician .
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes .
• Experience performing mold changes, machine setups, and process optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot molding defects and improve process performance.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Understanding of quality standards, process documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on 3rd shift while supporting production needs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
