Join us.Forj Medical is looking to expand their Facilities team with a skilled Maintenance Supervisor who is responsible for 300,000+ square feet of manufacturing and general office space. This position ensures the continued operations of the building equipment and owns the responsibility of planned and unplanned maintenance such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry work, and more.Must have extensive knowledge overseeing a commercial facility to ensure building operations and repairs are done within a timely matter. They will demonstrate strong communication skills to respond, coordinate, and repair incoming tickets. This role will manage the maintenance team by mentoring and fostering a collaborative culture with a forward-thinking mindset.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee all commercial building maintenance activities with a proactive, preventive mindsetPrioritize and assign work orders based on urgency, impact, and operational needsConduct performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and provide ongoing coaching to team membersProvide mentorship and hands-on training to develop technical and professional skillsSupport team members with daily objectives to ensure assigned goals are metPartner with leadership to identify and report cost-savings opportunities, including performing in-house repairs to reduce outsourced spendMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and preventive maintenance schedulesFollow up on assigned tasks through completion, including detailed documentation and reportingEnsure the facilities ticketing system is updated dailyMaintain, modify, inspect, repair, install, and assemble facilities equipment, including, but not limited to HVAC, motorized equipment, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and furniturePerform basic exterior repairs to maintain the overall appearance of the facilityComplete work in accordance with established quality, safety, and productivity standardsSupport operations at multiple Forj Medical locations, including Arden Hills, St Paul, and Vadnais HeightsAvailable 24/7 on-call rotation and coordinate coverage schedules with the maintenance teamQualifications and Requirements:2-5+ years of prior commercial or industrial maintenance experience as a leadStrong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsMust be able to demonstrate strong judgement and decision-making in all aspects of workAbility to work effectively with staff and vendors on troubleshooting, problem solving, and repairsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, and technical documentsProficiency with computer-based applications, including Microsoft Office and maintenance/work order systemsStandard work schedule is 8 hours per day, with flexibility between 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Ability to work occasional evenings and weekend as needed, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotationMust possess a valid MN driver's license, current auto insurance, and the ability to travel between office and stores on a regular basisPhysical Demands:Must be able to walk and/or stand for periods of up to 8 hoursMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneelMust be able to push, pull and grasp objectsMust be able to climb a ladderMust be able to independently lift 50+ poundsMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye/hand coordinationWorking Conditions:Office environmentManufacturing environmentCompensation:The expected starting salary for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 depending on qualifications.
