Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Provides specialized speech therapy services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Develops and implements individualized care plans to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing impairments following clinical standards.
  
  
• 
  Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to inform treatment strategies.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly, documenting outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
  
• 
  Counsel patients and their families regarding speech disorders and treatment options.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure cohesive patient care and communicate progress updates.
  
  
• 
  Prepare detailed discharge summaries and maintain accurate, complete documentation in electronic health records.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
  
  
• 
  CCC Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  
  
• 
  Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of ASHA guidelines, state practice acts, and ethical standards.
  
  
• 
  Ability to supervise and support CFY or student speech-language pathologists.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification required.
