Receptionist (Bilingual English-Spanish Preferred)

Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. ( constructs the most challenging concrete projects throughout the Southeast.

Founded in 1986, Precision Concrete operates on a diverse set of projects throughout the construction industry. Projects cover market sectors such as retail, healthcare, entertainment, institutional, airport, heavy industrial and multifamily.

Position Summary

Answer and forward calls through console switchboard as well as greet visitors who arrive at the office. Perform basic clerical duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Operate console switchboard. Answer incoming calls, forward calls to party, take messages, when necessary and notify (by phone) employees that visitors have arrived.
• Greet visitors in a courteous manner and assist with their inquiries, receive packages, letters, etc., as required. Sign for parcels when necessary
• Maintain adequate stock of office supplies and order supplies as necessary.
• Responsible for mail distribution, including routing of incoming mail, preparation of correspondence for distribution and packages for shipment and maintaining postage meter at adequate levels.
• Perform basic clerical duties which may include the organization/alphabetization of files, copying, preparation for meetings, etc.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Education Educational requirements include: high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills One year of receptionist experience is required. Knowledge of office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques and office equipment as well as English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities None

Equipment to be used Must be able to operate computer and other office equipment such as fax, calculator, document reproducing equipment and communications equipment. Position also requires a valid driver license and must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Typical Physical demands Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

Typical Mental Demands Must be able to deal with a variety of emotions and frustrations in making business decisions. Must be able to communicate, orally and written, in a professional manner. Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.

Working Conditions Works in typical office setting.
