Senior Accountant - Construction

Job Summary:

The Construction Accountant is responsible for performing accounting functions for a construction and steel fabrication company. This position supports accurate financial reporting, job-cost accounting, month-end and year-end close, accounting controls, and coordination with the company’s outside CPA

.
This is a hands-on accounting role that requires strong technical accounting knowledge, independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to identify accounting discrepancies, recommend corrections, and improve accounting processes. Required Qualificat

• ions:Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including hands-on general ledger, journal entry, and reconciliation
• work.Minimum 2–3 years of construction accounting, job-cost accounting, project-based accounting, or similar industry experi
• ence.Experience using Viewpoint

• sses.Ability to review accounting records, identify discrepancies, and recommend correct
• ions.Ability to exercise independent judgment when evaluating accounting issues and recommending solut
• ions.Strong understanding of accounting controls, documentation, and process improve
