The assignment runs from early November 2026 through December 2027, providing stability and valuable experience in a welcoming district setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Counselor License required
• Previous experience in elementary counseling or school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with young students
• Commitment to onsite presence (no remote/virtual work permitted)
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation

Responsibilities:

• Provide social, emotional, and academic counseling support to elementary students
• Conduct individual and group sessions to address student needs
• Develop and implement interventions promoting healthy development and positive behaviors
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for students
• Participate in student support meetings, Response to Intervention (RTI), and other collaborative processes
• Maintain accurate records, confidentiality, and adhere to district and professional guidelines
• Support smooth transitions for students and foster a safe, inclusive environment
