Data Center TechnicianLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FLBuy Rate: $34/hrKey Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data centre hardware.Monitor the performance of data centre systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal uptime.Manage the physical infrastructure of the data centre, including power, cooling, and cabling.Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data centre operations.Skills and Qualifications:Strong understanding of server hardware, networking protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies.Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.Ability to work in a data centre environment, including lifting and moving equipment.Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco certifications) can be beneficial.
