Senior Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Systems Administrator to manage and support the daily operations of server and storage systems. This full-time, onsite contract role based in Pompano Beach, FL involves disaster recovery planning, proactive monitoring, and maintenance of virtual environments such as VMware or-V. The ideal candidate will collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with industry standards like PCI, and contribute to infrastructure stability and scalability. Key Responsibilities Maintain server and storage systems to ensure high availability and system integrity. Configure and manage core services including DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Certificates. Respond to vulnerability scans (e.g., Qualys) and work with security teams to mitigate risks. Administer virtual servers in VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments. Design and implement server/storage systems and perform capacity/resource planning. Manage users, groups, organizational units (OUs), objects, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and site services in a multi‑domain environment. Travel to remote locations as needed and participate in on‑call rotation outside standard hours. Mentor junior staff and document technology solutions and procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Institute Degree/Certificate in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 7 years of IT experience in infrastructure/server environments. At least 3 years of enterprise‑level experience. Experience with vSphere is highly desired. Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance standards. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Familiarity with departmental procedures and policies. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Availability to work onsite five days a week. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. #J-18808-Ljbffr
