Surgical Technologists - Operating Room

Position Overview Operating Room Surgical Technologist – Night shift (United States of America). Salary Range: $64,972.00 – $97,458.00. Hourly Range: $28.50/hr – $34.00/hr. The role may require on‑call duties and rotating shifts. The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a registered nurse and a surgeon to facilitate surgical procedures, ensuring a safe operating room environment, proper functioning of equipment, and patient safety. The role operates independently in the scrub role, or as a circulator under RN supervision. Responsibilities Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure. Prepare operating rooms and assist with patient positioning as needed. Inspect sterile items for contamination before opening; maintain sterility while scrubbed. Maintain sterility of instruments and supplies. Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts following established policies and procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist as directed. Operate independently in the scrub role or as a circulator under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program (CST). NYS LPN also acceptable. 1 to 3 years of scrubbing experience preferred.
