Exciting Opportunity for ICU/PACU Registered Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift Details:
- 12-Hour Night Shift (3/12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week)
- On-call required for Saturdays and weekends
- Saturday day shift from 7 AM to 7:30 PM is a worked day
- Choose two day and two night shifts within an 8-week period


- Requirements:
- Must live within 50 miles of the facility
- 1-2 years of recent ICU and/or Level I trauma center PACU experience
- Candidates having only surgical center experience will not be considered due to complexity
- Recent PACU/Preoperative experience is essential
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
- PALS, BLS & ACLS certifications required
- CPAN, TNCC, CCRN certifications highly desirable
- Current RN license in the state/district required
- Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN is highly desired


- Nursing Duties:
- Monitor post-operative patients' recovery and consciousness levels after anesthesia
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs
- Observe and assess patients for signs of anesthesia medication side effects
- Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms; administer medication as prescribed
- Update charting (EMR), patient files, and medical records
- Educate patients and families on post-surgery care; answer any questions
