Accounting Specialist

Join our dynamic ONE ERP project team as an Accounting Specialist, where you will play a critical role in supporting accurate financial reporting and enhancing operational efficiency across key accounting areas such as transfer pricing, vehicle cost management, inventory, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and month-end closing. Your expertise will be essential in completing financial accounting, analysis, and reporting tasks in compliance with company policies and IFRS standards. Job Title: Accounting Specialist Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Assist in consolidations and reporting for internal stakeholders. Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation. Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial periods. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve closing issues. Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Ensure compliance with internal controls and IFRS accounting policies. Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation in compliance with local and international regulations. Provide support for intercompany transaction analysis and ensure consistent implementation of pricing methodologies. Support audits and respond to inquiries related to transfer pricing. Track and analyze vehicle-related expenses including material costs, material overhead, labor and overhead, duty. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation. Reconcile vehicle cost accounts and ensure proper reporting. Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and balances. Ensure accurate valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting standards. Assist in physical inventory counts and variance analysis. Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation. Process asset additions, disposals, and transfers. Support periodic asset audits and reporting. Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. Reconcile AR subledger to general ledger. Prepare ageing reports and assist with credit risk assessments. Ability to prepare quality process documentation. Participate in process improvement initiatives and system upgrades. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in accounting, Excel, SAP, and planning skills. Background in transfer pricing, cost, fixed asset, or general ledger accounting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Minimum of 5-10 years of accounting experience in public and/or general manufacturing. Ability to question the reasonableness of journal entries, account balances, and the potential impact on financial statements. Strong analytical skills to provide valid explanations for variances. Comprehension of and compliance with division policies, procedures, and operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with project management. Accounts Payable experience. Ability to comprehend and comply with division policies, procedures, and operations. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $51.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
