Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager. This is a Hybrid role in Northern New Jersey.Summary:A growing renewable energy and infrastructure company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance team. This highly visible role will partner closely with senior leadership and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Manager will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities
• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff and outsourced accounting resources
• Perform consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Prepare lender, investor, and shareholder reporting packages
• Research and document technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
• Manage fixed assets, construction-in-progress (CIP), depreciation, and capital project accounting
• As an Accounting Manager, you will support annual audits, compliance requirements, and internal control activities
• Partner with finance, operations, project management, and executive leadership teams
• Drive accounting process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes
• Experience supervising staff and reviewing the work of others
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting
• Exposure to construction accounting, fixed assets, and project-based accounting environments
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with senior leadership

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
