Registered Nurse - MedSurg Ortho/Neuro

Travel Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

4-12 hour night shifts per week, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The MedSurg Ortho/Neuro unit is designed to care for a diverse patient population requiring orthopedic and neurological surgeries. Nurses in this unit will deliver high-quality patient care while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments and medication administration.
• Monitor and document patient progress, collaborating with healthcare teams as needed.
• Assist Charge Nurse with admissions, discharges, and patient flow.
• Participate in patient education and support families in understanding care plans.
• Care for patients requiring various orthopedic and neurological interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge with the ability to recognize fatal rhythms.
• Experience in a med/surg unit preferred.
