Our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer with experience in applying Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques for Department of Defense (DoD) space-based systems. Candidate will provide systems engineering and integration expertise in support of the Space Systems Command (SSC) PNT programs. Candidate will support requirements development and management activities to include requirements traceability analysis, change impact analysis, technical baseline integration, verification planning and execution, concepts of operations (CONOPS) and risk management of mission capabilities. Candidate may have experience with system acquisition, systems engineering lifecycle, architecture, operations concepts, requirements and interface development and maturation for space and ground systems.Major duties of the position include:Planning and executing MBSE model development to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives in support of program milestonesApplying MBSE tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concept of operations to support system designSupporting requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the modelsProduction of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentationEnable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and testSupporting analysis activities utilizing MBSE models and tools such as CameoSupporting development of study plans for architecture development and special trade studiesCollaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.Required Skills:Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.2+ years' experience in digital systems design and integration.Proven experience in systems architecture development within Defense or regulated environments.Strong proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML).Active SECRET clearanceDesired Skills:Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Experience in innovation, capability development, and Agile/SAFe frameworks.Familiarity with DevOps, coding languages (Python, JavaScript), and secure systems design.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Basic Compensation: $90 to $130kThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
