Application Support Engineer

New York, NY | $250,000 Total Comp This is a front office application support role with a clear engineering mandate. You will work directly with traders and portfolio managers while building automation, observability, and AI assisted tooling to reduce manual support work. The Role Own the stability and performance of a front office trading platform during market hours Monitor system health, respond to production incidents, and manage communications with trading, risk, and operations teams Investigate and resolve issues related to order flow, FIX connectivity, and market data Partner with developers, brokers, and vendors to resolve complex production problems Build Python tooling to automate repetitive support tasks and reduce operational overhead Develop dashboards and alerting using Grafana and related observability tools Contribute to QA and release processes, ensuring smooth production deployments Help evolve AI assisted incident detection and response capabilities Your Skills and Experience Strong commercial experience in application or production support within trading or financial services Working knowledge of FIX protocol and order flow within electronic trading systems Hands on Python scripting for automation and tooling Experience with Linux environments and SQL Server Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana Familiarity with EMS platforms such as EMSX, FlexTrade, or similar Understanding of market data systems and trading workflows A proactive mindset with a focus on automating manual processes Comfortable operating in high pressure, front office environments and participating in oncall support What They Offer Base salary between $150,000 and $180,000 with potential flexibility for exceptional candidates Annual performance related bonus High visibility role with direct exposure to traders and senior stakeholders Clear pathway into platform engineering or site reliability engineering as automation increases Opportunity to shape the future of support through AI and modern tooling Collaborative, engineering led culture with strong investment in technology How to Apply Apply now to explore a front office support role where you can combine trading systems expertise with hands on engineering and automation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
