A Busser at Tony’s Mexican Restaurant plays a crucial role in ensuring a high-quality dining experience by supporting servers and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. This position involves promptly assisting with table settings, clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. The Busser contributes to the overall efficiency of service and guest satisfaction, working closely with the front-of-house team.

Responsibilities :

• Arrive at the restaurant on time, fully dressed in the provided uniform and adhering to grooming standards.
• Uphold a positive and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Greet all guests warmly with a sincere “Welcome home!” and ensure a positive first impression.
• Welcome guests as they are seated, and promptly provide them with chips, salsas, water, and drinks.
• Regularly refill guest beverages and respond to any drink requests efficiently.
• Coordinate with servers and host staff to ensure smooth seating arrangements and optimize table turnover.
• Address guest requests promptly and relay information or needs to the appropriate server.
• Clear and reset tables quickly after guests leave to prepare for new patrons, ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
• Maintain cleanliness by promptly cleaning chairs, booths, and floors between guests at all times.
• Transport dirty tableware to the dish room, and sort items for proper washing and sanitization.
• Conduct periodic inspections of assigned restrooms, maintaining cleanliness and addressing any issues immediately.
• Perform routine cleaning of silverware and other table settings as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in various tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient service operation.
• Farewell all clients with a “See you mañana!” upon departure to reinforce loyalty and connection.
• Maintain integrity in all actions — be honest, accountable, respectful, and trustworthy, even when no one is watching.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and tastings to remain sharp and informed.
• Assist in training when needed.
• Perform side duties.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct at all times.
• Must have flexibility in scheduling.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive, humble, and professional attitude.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Must acquire all state and local required certifications for the role.
  

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in restaurant hospitality preferred.
