Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy technician position is available in a retail environment located in Portage, MI. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a dynamic work schedule with rotating day shifts and the potential for direct hire.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
• Facility closes at 6:00 PM on Fridays
• Initially no weekend shifts, though these may be introduced in the future

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Manage inventory and restock medication supplies as needed
• Operate Pioneer RX computer system to process prescriptions and maintain patient records
• Provide excellent customer service in a busy retail pharmacy setting
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Michigan pharmacy technician license is required
• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail environment
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX system is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to rotating start times and evolving shift requirements
