Description

• Assess patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods to create personalized insights.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting immediate objectives along with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Facilitate focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions that cultivate advancements in communication, language development, and swallowing.
• Partner with a dynamic team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to formulate seamless care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to continue support beyond clinical settings.
• Conduct occasional evaluations and interventions in inpatient settings, ensuring a continuous care experience.
• Preserve accurate and timely documentation according to all relevant guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing learning to stay abreast of industry advancements and establish collegial relationships.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferably holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
