Manufacturing Chemist 1

Seeking a highly motivated and team‑oriented Manufacturing Chemist with 0‑2 years of experience in synthetic chemistry, purification, and QC analysis of organic molecules to join our Nucleotide Manufacturing group. The role involves manufacturing and testing moderate to high complexity components and reagents using standard laboratory equipment, following SOPs and work instructions. Position Responsibilities Follow all SOPs and work instructions as required by the Quality Management System. Plan and execute daily work with occasional supervision. Assemble data for analysis using accepted methods. Assess results of work and compare data against identifiable factors. Summarize work accurately. Determine appropriate actions by exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices. Follow all safety rules and apply all relevant protocols. Execute simple experiments (troubleshooting, OOE, OOS, etc.) designed by senior lab personnel. Identify non‑conformances in work. Use basic Operational Excellence tools to identify root cause of problems. Complete ERP and MES transactions for manufacturing work order processing. Synthesize molecules using industry‑standard instrumentation and techniques. Perform purification of synthesized molecules and monitor performance through chromatogram analysis. Collect, prepare, and analyze product fractions using analytical HPLC techniques to determine product quality. Measure and adjust product concentration or mix using applicable instrumentation. Formulate buffers required for processing and storing target molecules throughout production. Position Requirements 0‑2 years of experience in synthetic chemistry processes, purification, and QC analysis of organic molecules. Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment (HPLC/UPLC, synthesizers, reactors, rotary evaporators, UV/Vis spectrophotometers, pH meters, etc.). Solid technical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, HPLC methods, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing execution systems. Ability to work with ERP, EAM, MES, and Quality systems (SAP, Camstar, Teamcenter, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of equipment/instrument upkeep, calibration, and maintenance policies. Ability to carry up to 40 lbs. Preferred Experience / Education / Skills Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 0‑2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience. Benefits and Compensation The estimated base hourly range for this role is $27.50 – $41.25. Employees are eligible for variable cash programs and may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
