We are currently looking for an experienced, professional captain to join our team. An ideal candidate… Is comfortable interacting with guests and members of our community Asserts leadership pertaining to the management of guests and experiences Has the ability to multi-task and function well under pressure Demonstrates strong food & beverage knowledge and an eagerness to continue to learn and understand our product Is proficient in the use of POS systems and/or able to quickly learn and utilize these programs Expresses an eagerness to continue learning and staying up-to-date with our industry Possesses a fluent understanding of the basic functions of a high volume, upscale casual restaurant Is a team-oriented individual, willing to contribute to the success of everyone within the organization Some responsibilities include… Act as a liaison between the guest, kitchen team and service team Manage the dining experience: take orders, inquire and understand dietary restrictions, explain the menu and dining style in detail Ring food & beverage orders into the POS system Address questions about the food, beverage and restaurant Assist with running food and bar beverages Assist with wine service when appropriate Initiate the maintenance and re-set of tables, bar and service stations.
